About
I was born in Nottingham, where I developed a love of writing and performing music and drama. I studied Music & English at the University of Leeds, tutored by Tina May in Jazz and Jane Anthony in Classical singing. I’ve lived in beautiful Yorkshire ever since.
I spent the early part of my career performing, recording and teaching jazz voice: still a major influence, singing live on BBC radio several times. I began to compose for media and rekindled a songwriting spark that led to two albums of original music. I’ve maintained the ‘dramatic spark’ working as a voiceover artist, as well as producing and editing podcasts and other audio projects. I share a studio with soundie/director and musician Adam, and we have two daughters.
I can often be found performing with the band Flying Funk (vocals/keys/flute) and I love nature, food, and walking (preferably to a pub quiz!).
